Relevant Online Tutorials

I have research make up tutorials that have taught / inspired me to create the same / similar look on my antagonist to allow them to fit the way I want them to look to create horror amongst my audience.

I am going to replicate the make up created within this YouTube tutorial on my antagonist. However, I am going to use less eye shadow on the eyes as he is a male character and it may appear to obvious that he has make up on if I copied the eye shadow that is in the video. I am using blood around the eyes to show danger. The colour red represents danger and the fact that it is fake blood also shows us danger and pain.

I am also going to place fake blood onto the antagonists t - shirt like in this tutorial. We stereotypically expect the antagonist within a film to be either scruffy, have some form of blood on them or have old fashioned clothing on. Here I will follow this stereotype by using blood on the t - shirt. This will look affective in my shots as the blood will stand out against the white on the t - shirt, to catch the audiences eye.

I am not going to use any make up on my protagonist as I want them to look innocent and make up may cause them to look unrealistic or give the impression that they have been possessed.
